Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 19, 2017 - Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Sephardi Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef  met in the garden of the President's Residence to mark the new season with the traditional blessing for the trees. The bracha is said in month on Nissan, on seeing the first blossoms, preferably of two fruit trees. 

Rav Yosef presented President Rivlin with a special siddur and gave him a bracha for long life. President Rivlin remarked on the significance of the Jewish people having returned to our land and to be able to make the blessing on these blossoms.
