The new electronics ban on devices larger than a cell phone being brought into the passenger cabinet of aircraft coming from several Middle Eastern and African countries will impact Israelis traveling via Jordan and Turkey. The new ban impacts eight countries, including Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Morocco.

Israel Airports Authority officials announced that this impacts residents traveling on Turkish Airlines for example and they will not be permitted to bring electronic devices not conforming with the new regulation on board.

Fox News reported the ban on electronics in the cabin applies to US-bound direct flights only. Laptops, tables, Kindles, iPads and gaming devices larger than a cellphone will be prohibited from the cabin of the passenger flights. The Airports Authority advises travelers to check with airlines ahead of their flight.
