All over Israel, communities are gathering together to donate clothing and supplies to deliver to those affected by the fires that have struck the different areas of the country.

Pictured below is a grassroots effort from Reut, a community near Modiin:

The community is sorting donations and sending cars straight out to the communities affected.

Ido Yankalovitz has facilitated an emergency fundraiser for 18 houses totally destroyed in Neve Tzuf/ Chalamish as well as an additional 40 homes that were damaged to varying degrees.

All the 200 families that live in Neve Tzuf where evacuated until further notice.

The Keep Olim in Israel Movement, a Facebook group with over 28,000 members, has begun an effort to collect donations for those affected by the fires as well.

On Friday group administrator Liami Lawrence posted the following:

Keep Olim Update on donation collection drop off points for fire victims- We decided after talking to Helen Oster our friend In Zichron Yaccov where families there including 2 Olim families lost everything and many families in Haifa lost everything as well that we will organize donation places. We will collect clothes in good condition only (no underwear) for the victims as well as toiletries and socks (for the fireman).

And on Saturday night he posted the following:

We call on every member of KeepOlim to go through your closets and donate whatever you can to help the 700+ families who have lost everything. We have set up 13 donation drop off points around the country.

This is my salon! Kee Olim, we just started you are beautiful! We need donations for 700 families. Keep the donations coming. This is Israel! Together we are KeepOlim!
