Jerusalem, Israel - Aug. 22, 2016 - For the past 40 years, Khutsot Hayotser Jerusalem, the international arts and crafts fair and festival, has provided tens of thousands of Israeli families with end of summer entertainment. 

Located across from Jerusalem's Old City walls, in the Khutsot Hayotser Arts and Crafts Center, the Mitchell Gardens and the Merrill Hassenfeld Amphitheater in the Sultan's Pool, the event runs this year from August 15-27th. 

Over 200 Israeli artists and artisans exhibit their work, paintings, prints, ceramics, metalwork and jewelry, weaving and textiles, Judaica, toys and more.

In the International Pavilion, over 30 countries are represented, from Argentina to Zimbabwe, including Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Some of the vendors representing their countries dress in traditional costumes.

Nightly entertainment for children, an inter-disciplinary experience cafe, and a special section with Bezalel Academy of Art and Design students leading workshops were new additions this year.

A wide variety of food stalls in the Food Court provided ethnic fares while live music played in the background. Wine and cheese, and beer and iced drinks on the warm evenings, as always were popular. Live concerts each night, by popular Israeli entertainers started at 9:00 pm in the Sultan's Pool, and the music could be heard throughout the Yemin Moshe neighborhood.
