Jerusalem, Israel - June 21, 2016 - In Israel, after Shabbat, word spread quickly that three people were killed in Tel Aviv. Sitting in an outdoor cafe, diners were hit by an out of control car. Not terror this time, but a driver possibly with medical problem, speeding off the road.

Sunday morning Israeli Facebook pages were filled with photos and Baruch Dayan Emet comments. One of those killed was Texan Alan Weinkrantz z"l. While Weinkrantz was in Israel representing US company Rackspace, his poster of Israel, "The five-thousand year old start-up" became a valued item on many a wall.

Back and forth from the US to Israel, multiple times over the years, Weinkrantz helped hundreds of start-ups and individuals, always with a smile. He went to HUb Etzion to speak at a time when there were serious terror attacks happening in Gush Etzion.

He leaves a son and daughter living in New York City. Plus, thousands of Israels will miss his photos, videos and generous support.

This video from September 2015 gives some insight into how Alan worked.
