Jerusaelm, Israel - May 19, 2016 - The spring-summer Jerusalem festival season opened with a Kugel Party held at Hansen House on Thursday night. Hansen House, Jerusalem's former abandoned leper asylum, is being renovated and used for multiple functions, including culture, technology and nature.

The Jerusalem Contemporary Design Festival is being held this week in multiple locations. The opening event at Hansen House featured kugel, three kinds of kugel. Yerushalmi with pickle, Belgium waffle with fruit and real flowers, and dried Oriental style noodles which were served up on the second level by using a pulley system. The courtyard area was decorated with bright Yiddish signs.

This exhibit itself includes photography, chemicals, paint, and light in unique ways. The animals in the garden of old, are nothing like the ones in this show.

Better to see the photo essay, the Kugel Party and Hansen House exhibits are difficult to explain.
