Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 2, 2015 -In Kikar Safra, the Jerusalem, Israel government city hall plaza, a giant sukkah was erected and open to the public. This year it has a new look inside. The large tables surrounded by chairs has been changed to more casual sitting areas.

On Thursday evening chol hamoed Sukkot, Mayor Nir Barkat and his wife Beverly greeted visitors in the sukkah. Live background music was inside, while an orchestra was outside performing on the Kikar Safra stage area. Craft projects were provided for children on tables outside the sukkah.

Hundreds came to visit on the warm and sunny day, as thousands more people were lining the streets for the 60th Jerusalem Parade.
