הודו לה כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו

Just a few months ago, on Erev Rosh HaShana, people all over the world were fervently davening for me to have a Refuah Shleima. As I write this letter, I am, Baruch HaShem, home and on the road to recovery.

The kochos of klal Yisroel's tefillos knows no bounds; similarly our gratitude to the entire community for all you have done on my behalf also knows no bounds. The zechusim AND chasodim completed in my merit are, most assuredly, what turned a dire situation into my own personal miracle.

Although it would be impossible for us to thank every single person who was there for us, you know who you are and we can never thank you enough. We could not have pulled through this ordeal without our loving family, friends, neighbors, and each individual who stormed Shaarei Shomayim to change my din.

We especially want to express our gratitude to the remarkably skilled and caring medical team at Montefiore Medical Center, including Dr. Samuel Sigal, transplant hepatologist. Y’yascher Kuach to Mr. Solomon Rosenberg, Program Director at Montefiore Medical Center, for his devoted attention to the myriad details of my lengthy hospitalization, from the moment I was transferred to Montefiore’s transplant program until the day I was discharged. You were each the right shaluchim in saving my life.

One of the questions asked in order to determine whether I would be a suitable candidate for a liver transplant was if I had a good support system. Baruch HaShem, I can attest to just how incredible my support system is! Mi k’amcha Yisroel.  I may have unknowingly touched many
lives; however, it is all those people who provided me with the support I need to push myself to get better who have touched and changed my own life.

May we be zoche to a world of no more pain and suffering and to see Mashiach B'mehara B'yamanu.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,

Mordechai and Chaya Dena Chaviva (Shuvalsky) Nockenofsky
