Brooklyn, NY - New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton says an off-duty officer arrested on manslaughter and DWI charges after a Brooklyn crash has been fired.

Bratton announced the termination of Nicholas Batka on Wednesday. He previously had been suspended.

Batka’s attorney did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the termination.
