Two people were injured and one man was killed in a shooting at a Montgomery County mall Friday morning, a shooting that may be tied to a killing earlier Friday elsewhere in Montgomery County, and a domestic killing in Beltsville Thursday night.

The alleged shooter, Eulalio Tordil, was taken into custody, police announced shortly before 3 p.m.

The shooting was reported around 11:15 a.m. at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services said. One man is in critical condition, while a woman is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said there was some sort of confrontation in the mall parking lot between the gunman and a woman, and she was shot. Two men who came to her aid were also shot and injured, police said.

Witnesses said they heard at least two gunshots and then the gunman ran away.

Police said two men and one woman were injured in the shooting. The victims were transported to hospitals. Assistant Police Chief Darryl McSwain said later they were in critical condition.

The gunman remains at large, police said.

Students and staff were sheltering in place at Walter Johnson High and Tilden Middle schools, WBAL-TV 11's sister station, WRC, reported.
