Baltimore, MD - May 3, 2017 - Wouldn’t we all like to know how to convince children to do the things they really don’t want to?  (Think math homework, cleaning bedrooms, book reports…)  And how about getting them to stop doing the things we really don’t want them to? (Think social media, nail-biting, arguing with siblings…)

This Sunday, May 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., SHEMESH invites you to hear Kathleen Cushman, an expert on children’s motivation and author of The Motivation EquationShe will help parents and teachers understand motivation, learn strategies to foster that motivation and turn kids on to learning. The cost is $20 for registration by May 3 and $30 at the door.

Doors open for registration and light refreshments at 8:30 a.m. at the Myerberg Center, 3101 Fallstaff Road.  With separate tracks for parents and teachers, everyone will leave with tips and practical ideas to help kids learn and do.  SHEMESH, a program of The Associated, is pleased to offer this low-cost program to the entire community.
