Baltimore, MD - Nov. 10, 2016 - undreds of people converged Thursday evening in Baltimore to protest the election of President-elect Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump hasn't taken office yet, but some people don't want him anywhere near the White House. Thousands of people in several cities marched through the streets Wednesday night, and the demonstrations continued Thursday.

Two protests were scheduled for Thursday night in Baltimore, including one at McKeldin Square. Another protest started around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Charles Street near Johns Hopkins University, and participants began marching toward the Inner Harbor, which they reached around 7:30 p.m.

Because of the large number of people, traffic was backed up on Charles Street as some protesters began walking in the street to the Inner Harbor. Then, around 8 p.m., the protesters left the World Trade Center and began marching west on Pratt Street, blocking traffic.

In their call to action on Facebook, protest organizers in Baltimore called Mr. Trump a racist demagogue, and said he'll lead a fascist regime.

Organizers said the event will be a peaceful demonstration.
