Dear Community Members,

On 10/15/16, the Pikeville Precinct experienced several burglaries, thefts from vehicles and thefts of vehicles. The first incident was a burglary and a theft of vehicle which occurred at the same address in the 3600 block of Phillips Drive between 2:00am and 7:00am. No force was used to gain entry into the house or the vehicle that was stolen from the driveway. The second incident was a burglary and a theft from vehicle which occurred between 6:40am and 6:50am in the 7900 block of Ivy Lane. Entry was made through an unlocked window of the house but the suspect was scared off by the homeowners barking dog. Both vehicles in the drive way at the location were rummaged through. The third incident occurred between 7:00am and 8:00am in the 7900 block of Ivy Lane where entry was gained into an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through but nothing was taken. The fourth incident was a burglary and theft from vehicle which occurred between 10/14/16 at 9:45pm and 10/15/16 at 9:15am in the 3500 block of Round Hollow Road. Entry was gained into an unlocked attached garage and the unlocked vehicle inside was rummaged through. The fifth incident was a burglary and theft of vehicle which occurred on 10/17/16 between 12:30am and 6:30am in the 3400 block of Midfield Road. Entry was gained into the house through an unlocked rear glass door at which time items were removed from the location including several keys to vehicles. Keys were used to remove one of the vehicles from the location. In one of the cases a neighbor observed a subject in their neighbor’s back yard but did not contact the police. Please call 911 immediately if you observe anything suspicious.

Please remember to lock your vehicles and residences at all times. Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhood.  If you notice any suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects or vehicles (including license plates) and immediately contact 911.
