Baltimore, MD - Oct. 10, 2016:

Dear Community Members,

Between 10/7/16 and 10/10/16, the Pikeville Precinct has had multiple crime trends which included thefts from vehicles, attempted thefts from sheds, and an attempted burglary of a residence.  The attempted thefts from vehicles occurred in the 6600 block of Wickfield Road, 6600 block of Dorsan Court, 6500 block of Gardenwick Road, and the 2300 block of Sweat Meadow Road.  In addition, there were attempted thefts from vehicles on the 2500 block of Summerson Road and 2400-2500 block of Smith Ave.  During the attempted theft at the 2500 block of Smith Avenue, video surveillance revealed a black male late teens to early twenties of age, dressed in light colored clothing, wearing a baseball cap.  During the attempted theft on the 2300 block of Sweatmeadow Road, video surveillance captured a black male dressed in a dark sweatshirt with a white tee shirt and gray sweatpants.  

Furthermore, between 10/07/16 and 10/08/16, there were attempted thefts from sheds in the 2700-2800 block of Willow Glen Drive, 2700 block of Woodcourt Road, and the 6500 block Gardenwick Road.  There was an additional attempted burglary in the 2700 block of Summerson Road where video surveillance revealed three black males, late teens to early twenties of age, wearing dark coats, and grays pants attempting to gain entry into the residence and a storage shed on the property. 

Please remember to lock your vehicles and residences at all times.  Please be vigilant of suspicious subjects or vehicles roaming through the neighborhood.  If you notice any suspicious activity, safely get a good description of the subjects or vehicles (including license plates) and immediately contact 911.  We offer Free Home Security Surveys, where a uniformed officer will respond to your home and give you suggestions on ways to make your home more secure.
