BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police say that two young children and an adult were shot Saturday night by a male who was probably in his early teens.

WBAL-TV on Sunday reported that a 4-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to the foot. A 6-year-old boy was shot in the leg. And a 61-year-old woman also was shot in the leg. All three are expected to be OK.

Officers say the teen gunman acted in a "callous" manner. He opened fire outside a public housing project. The three victims were among a number of people standing outside.

Police say they hope witnesses will step up to help and "do the right thing."
