Baltimore, MD - Aug. 15, 2016 - Subjects are traveling through Baltimore County and offering driveway services such as asphalt and tar coating. They present the customer with a contract offering driveway services and take the initial deposit and are never heard from again. Always research companies, check with the Better Business Bureau and get references before signing any contract or giving any type of deposit. Please be aware there are many types of home improvement scams not limited to driveway repair, roof repair, tree services etc.  A good rule of thumb is if you didn’t solicit the company for work then you are not interested.

If you can, please get a good description of the subjects and vehicles soliciting such services. Contact 911 to have police respond.  If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact the Community Outreach Team for further information.  We do offer FREE HOME SECURITY SURVEYS where an officer will respond to your home and give you safety tips, ideas and suggestions on ways to make your home secure.

Please remember if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
