Cooperation among area law enforcement agencies has led to a suspect being charged in numerous convenience store robberies.

It all started just before 1 a.m. on May 24, when a male suspect walked into a Royal Farms Store in the 7200 block of York Road 21212. He displayed a handgun and demanded that the clerk open the register. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

During the next 15 days, the suspect robbed at least six convenience stores spread across several different counties.

The Baltimore County Police Department, Baltimore City Police Department, Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Howard County Police Department, and the FBI Baltimore Violent Crimes Task Force routinely share information and work together on cases. Working together, detectives from these agencies were able to identify the suspect as 28-year-old Mark Eugene Peters (no fixed address). Peters was taken into custody on June 9.

Peters has been charged with multiple counts of armed robbery in connection with the Baltimore County incidents. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He has not yet been served with the arrest warrants from other jurisdictions.
