Following Monday's derailment of some cars off a CSX freight train, the Maryland Transit Administration announced plans to cut off Light Rail service early Monday.

Service between Camden Yards and North Avenue will be suspended at 10 p.m., with a bus bridge running until the typical closing time of midnight. Riders should expect delays.

The derailment happened in the Howard Street tunnel, not far from the University of Baltimore/Mount Royal station.

All but one of the cars that derailed were empty, and no spills were reported.
