Baltimore, MD – May 19, 2016 – Over the last six years of BJL’s existence, there have been many interesting subjects presented on the site, but very few have received as much discussion within the community as the MBD - no, not Mordechai ben David - but, the Maryland Beer Distribution situation, causing many people to be thirsting for information on why so many beers in Maryland hold the classification of Chametz She’avar alav HaPesach.

In order to enlighten the community, Rabbi Sholom Tendler, Kashrus Administrator for STAR-K Kosher Certification., will give an intoxicating, but brief, shiur on the subject this Shabbos evening at 8:30 PM at Khal Ahavas Yisroel Tzemach Tzedek (KAYTT) Rabbi Dovid Heber’s shul - 6811 Park Heights Ave.,  followed by Maariv at 9:02 PM.

Rabbi Sholom Tendler is both an ordained graduate of Ner Israel Rabbinical College and a recipient of a Master’s of Science degree in education from Johns Hopkins University. As a Kashrus Administrator, he is responsible for overseeing a number of STAR-K certified facilities and conducting kosher-organic inspections.
