A cruise ship struck an elevated gangway while docking in Baltimore on Sunday morning, causing the gangway to crash onto several vehicles below.

A spokeswoman for Carnival Cruise Lines says as the Carnival Pride was docking this morning, the ship struck the empty gangway, which  fell on three parked vehicles.

No one was inside the vehicles, and the spokeswoman says no one on the ship, the gangway or the pier were hurt.

She describes the damage to the ship as minor.

Passengers were able to leave the ship via another gangway, and the ship is expected to leave Baltimore this afternoon, as scheduled.

The incident is under investigation.
