Baltimore, Md - Nov. 25, 2015 - A reception in honor of Governor Larry Hogan was held Tuesday night, Nov. 25, 2015, at the home of Abba and Laura Poliakoff. The reception, hosted by Abba and Laura Poliakoff and by the Friends of LifeBridge PAC, was attended by over 70 people, including the senior leadership and Board members of LifeBridge. Secretary Michael Gill, the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Commerce, also participated in the reception.

Prior to the Governor's arrival, Mrs. Yumi Hogan, the Governor's wife, met with a group of about 25 people, mostly women, and discussed her experiences. 

Mr. Poliakoff thanked the Governor for his leadership and for transforming the State's culture to a business friendly environment. He also expressed the gratitude and relief of Maryland residents for the recovery of the Governor from his cancer.  Governor Hogan talked about his first few months in office, describing the incredible challenges he faced, including the riots and his illness, and the progress his administration is making in transforming the business climate in Maryland.

He thanked the fine medical community in Maryland, including LifeBridge, Hopkins and the University of Maryland.  Recalling his time in the University of Maryland hospital, he talked about his visits to other cancer patients, particularly the children. Governor Hogan reserved his greatest accolades for his oncologist, Dr. Aaron Rapoport, who participated in the reception. Dr. Rapoport expressed his gratitude for the Governor's support of scientific research and medical development. 

Jason Blavatt, Chairman of LifeBridge Health, conveyed the gratitude of the LifeBridge community for the Governor's support and recognized the efforts of this administration in supporting change in Maryland.
