We are pleased to be welcoming Burt Kummerow , the director of the Maryland Historical Society, our partner institution for The A-Mazing Mendes Cohen. Mr. Kummerow, an expert on Maryland history, will explore the many 1812 Chesapeake stories from the �Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail� that he has collected for his book In Full Glory Reflected: Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake. Burton K. Kummerow helped found the Living History Movement and has been a writer and popular speaker, public television producer, museum director and rock musician. He is the author of four books; War for Empire, Heartland, Pennsylvania�s Forbes Trail, and In Full Glory Reflected, Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake. Presently, Kummerow is the President and CEO of the Maryland Historical Society.
