Jewish American billionaire throws his support behind Trump, emphasizing that 'he won fair and square.' Jewish American billionaire Sheldon Adelson on Thursday night revealed he will be supporting Donald Trump in his presidential campaign, and stated that the real estate mogul will be a good president in strengthening ties with Israel. Speaking to the New York Times at a gala dinner in Manhattan for the Jewish organization World Values Network, the casino magnate said he will back Trump now that he's the presumptive Republican nominee for president. "Yes, I'm a Republican, he's a Republican. He's our nominee. Whoever the nominee would turn out to be, any one of the 17 - he was one of the 17. He won fair and square," said Adelson....

Trump Interview with Bret Baier About Veep Candidates
We currently find ourselves in the unique period of the Jewish calendar known the Omer. This is the 50 day period between the beginning of Pesach and the holiday of Shavuous. There are many deep kabbalistic works dedicated to explaining the significance of this period. I am not someone who is familiar with this area of Torah but even on the surface there is much significance which I would like to share. Although this week’s Parsha is Acharei Mos, I will forgo the lessons our Parsha teaches and focus on the Omer. Perhaps we can tap into the energy of this period and harness it to elevate ourselves to higher levels of spiritual achievement.   Our Exodus from Egypt went beyond our physical liberty from Egyptian servitude it was actually a liberation of our spirit from bondage of be...
Last week I shared a moral dilemma that was asked during the Holocaust. Because so many Jews are commemorating the Holocaust this week, I would like to share another moral dilemma raised during the Holocaust. This one however, is much more morally ambiguous. This week’s Torah portion discusses the mitzvah of Vechai Bahem (Vayikra 18,5) . This means that mitzvos should not be the cause of a person’s death. For example, if a person has to violate Shabbos to save his life, he should do so. If a person has to take a non-kosher medicine to save his life, he should do so.  A person is allowed to violate nearly any Torah prohibition to save his or her life. This was a very germane principle that came up very often during the Holocaust. There are three exceptions given to this ...

Baltimore, MD - May 6, 2016 - She is at her desk bright and early every morning.  She waits eagerly for “her boys” to arrive at TA, so that she can spring into action, and be the not-so-behind-the-scenes secretary who has helped keep the Yeshiva together for so many years.  Mrs. Reva Gold is nearing the end of a half century as a secretary at Talmudical Academy.  She has watched thousands of talmidim come and go, and has been lucky enough to play a role in so many of their lives.  She has had a career and a life that has brought her more happiness and fulfillment than many of the richest and most famous people in the world.  She is beloved by TA alumni far and wide, and it is no wonder why.   As I have watched her over the l...

A distinguished group of educators and school administrators from nonpublic schools across the Commonwealth were chosen by a panel of judges and...
Newt Gingrich appeared on Hannity to talk about Donald Trump, saying that the Republicans are in hysteria over Donald Trump being the Republican nominee.
New York - Now that Donald Trump is the last man standing in the Republican presidential race, his critics in the party are intensifying their search for a candidate they could back as a serious third-party alternative. Political operatives are courting donors, calling potential candidates and developing legal contingency plans for overcoming onerous ballot qualification laws. “This is as much as anything a battle for the future of American party politics,” said Republican strategist Joel Searby, who is working with conservative writer Bill Kristol, among others, to identify a third-party candidate for the Nov. 8 presidential election. The group Conservatives Against Trump, which includes blogger Erick Erickson, has been holding calls and meetings to discuss third-p...

Washington - Donald Trump said Friday he was surprised by House Speaker Paul Ryan’s rebuff of him as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. “He talks about unity but what is this about unity?” he said in a nationally broadcast interview. Ryan’s declaration that he wasn’t yet ready to embrace Trump sent shockwaves through the very Republican establishment that the New York billionaire is asking for help as he transitions from the primary season to a general-election campaign, most likely against Democrat Hillary Clinton. “I was really surprised by it,” Trump said in a phone-interview with Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.” He added: “It’s not a good thing. It’s something the party should ...
Gaza - The leader of Hamas in Gaza said on Friday the Islamist group was “not calling for war” with Israel, and that Egypt and other parties were working behind the scenes to defuse the worst flare-up in violence since a 2014 conflict. Israel’s military has traded blows with Hamas over the past few days. The Palestinians have fired mortars at Israeli troops and Israeli aircraft and artillery have struck inside Gaza. “We are not calling for war but we will not allow incursions at all,” said Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’s deputy chief, speaking at a mosque before Friday prayers. “The resistance will not allow the establishment of a so-called buffer zone inside the borders of the Gaza Strip.” Haniyeh said mediators from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey ...
Washington - The U.S. economy added the fewest number of jobs in seven months in April and Americans dropped out of the labor force in droves, signs of weakness that cast doubts on whether the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates before the end of the year. Nonfarm payrolls increased by 160,000 jobs last month as construction employment barely rose and the retail sector shed jobs, the Labor Department said on Friday. That was the smallest gain since September and below the first-quarter average job growth of 200,000. Employers added 19,000 fewer jobs in February and March than previously reported. While the unemployment rate held at 5.0 percent that was because people dropped out of the labor force. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast payrolls rising 202,000 last mont...
Documents exposed by Fox News show State Dept. missed its own date for investigation of scandal clouding Clinton's run. Newly revealed documents show that the US State Department missed the date in June 2015 it set for itself to establish a special unit to review documents regarding the Benghazi scandal. The documents, exposed by Fox News on Friday, were created by the House committee currently investigating the 2012 terror attacks on US facilities in Benghazi. They reveal that early in 2015 Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC), chairman of the committee, started working behind the scenes to get over $4 million in "reprogrammed" funds Congress had allocated for such a unit transferred over to the State Department, in an attempt to speed up the investigation. ...

New York -  The U.S. presidential election may turn out to be one of the world’s biggest un-popularity contests. Nearly half of American voters who support either Democrat Hillary Clinton or Republican Donald Trump for the White House said they will mainly be trying to block the other side from winning, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Thursday. The results reflect a deepening ideological divide in the United States, where people are becoming increasingly fearful of the opposing party, a feeling worsened by the likely matchup between the New York real estate tycoon and the former first lady, said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics. “This phenomenon is called negative partisanship,” Sabato said. “...
Gaza Strip - Israel’s military says its aircraft struck infrastructure in Gaza used by the militant group Hamas that rules the coastal territory after gunmen there continued to fire mortars at forces along the border. Friday’s fire comes after three days of violence in which Gaza militants fired mortars, prompting Israeli retaliatory fire. Palestinian attacks intensified after Israel uncovered a tunnel Thursday stretching from Gaza into Israel. Military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said, “The repeated attacks against the IDF activities to locate and destroy cross border tunnels will not be tolerated. Hamas’ diabolical plan to infiltrate into Israeli communities must be stopped.” The recent violence has been among some of the most serious violenc...
Washington -  Maybe only in the Washington area could you find the U.S. counterintelligence chief handcuffing a suspect after his lunch is interrupted by a car ramming into his restaurant and bursting into flames. National Counterintelligence Executive Bill Evanina was eating in the Silver Diner in McLean, Virginia, on Wednesday when a Hummer crashed into the building and caught fire, said a U.S. intelligence official, who described the incident on condition of anonymity. A video posted to YouTube shows a suited Evanina and his two luncheon companions dragging the driver away from the Hummer. The man is flipped over and Evanina, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, kneels on his back and handcuffs him as sirens wail and flames leap from the car. The intelligence...
